Let - Down

I am saddened and disappointed in Banana Phone 2 because there appeared to be no thought or effort put into it. The original Banana Phone is the best anim I have seen on Newgrounds, and the sequel could have been a fantastic opportunity to continue the story. Please do us a favour and withdraw this entry and replace it with a brand spanking new Banana Phone 2. You could have the cops turn up to find two bloody corpses and the other guy twitching on the floor. Overall;
Let - Down.

Nice - One.

Glad to see episode three's out- I like to see that Salad Fingers interacting with a more normal world at the hair dressers (even if he's with cumberdale). I half expected there to be a baby in that perambulator, but I did like the guy with the apron. The milk bit was kinda gross, but that's Salad for ya.
The animation is pretty fair (in it's own special way) but what makes this great is the atmosphere created by the locations and the music.
Overall;
Nice - One.

Su - Perb.

Absolutely fantastic. That hitcher was great- real character there. I love how he 'thumbs' for cars by shouting "OI! OI OI! OI! OOOOIII!! Stop 'yer sons o'bitches!". Terrific. If this kinda stuff was on telly, I'd watch that instead of 'Americas dumbest cops' or 'bootsale bargain bollocks hunt auction'.
I'm not gonna blabber, just want to say good job- keep making them. Overall;
Su - Perb.

Fair - play.

I wasn't sure if I was angry with the guy in the support centre or the guy calling up. Only when reading authors comments (afterwards, I'm afraid) I realised that this is work inspired by having to work with bastard public (bastards!). Anyway, I thought it was very good. Unlike anything else I've seen on the site, but seeing as you didn't need to animate much it would have been nice to see the guy's face better drawn (no offence if that's your style of drawing, or htat you just can't draw). Over all;
Fair - play.

Side note- If that was based on a past experience, I think you should have told that guy to go and buy a pumpkin and shove it up his arse. Unless of course you're into that whole 'customer service' thing. Or indeed if you gave him your name. Always use someone elses name. Namely the managers. So if they call up and demand to speak to the manager, the manager will have to deal with someone saying that they're a god damned piece of (whatever you think). Good luck in future.

LiLFRE4K responds:

Yes, there is much room for improvement. I am not so good in drawing faces yet. So I reduced it to the basics and tried to let him look like a South Park character. Thank you for your nice review!

I can't belive what some people have said about this. I thought it was great- The comedy was in the dialogue- not the animation, although the characters were bizzarely original. The sound levels were a little unstable at points, but I still turned up the volume. I would have liked to see some sort of conclusion though, like a bar fight or something. They're in a western bar! That guy had a gun! That could only spell humorous consequences. I voted FIVE because I like to see stuff on NG that hasn't been done to death, and can make me laugh. Overall;

Thanks.

Good - show

That was great- it's good to see foamy is writing songs. I'd like to see more interaction with other characters, it seems that chick is the only person that can see the squirrel. This episode has a bit more class than than the others, boasting three offensive songs. Over all;
Good - show.

Sad - world.

That song is great (for a while, but sooooo depressing). I think you've listened to it a little too much. When you do a music video, there is no need whatsoever to make the visuals literal to the lyrics. If I were you, I'd listen to the beach boys or the offspring or some reggae or anything that might cheer you up. Your mood reflects the content and quality of your work, don't daydream about hanging corpses. I'd like to see more of your work, but not have to listen to madworld anytime soon.
Overall;
Sad - world.

P.S, The sun doesn't need to be in the sky for viewers to distinguish between day and night. If you do like to keep the sun in a shot, make it move when the 'camera' moves.

Do - It - Justice

Pretty fair- the creator is obviously a fan of that great musical score (which I commend) but the beginning coulda been a little more subtle. The saucer that arrived shoulda been a little more threatening, I'm reckoning. The recreation of the typeface and legendary cover artwork was rendered very nicely in flash, but (and I know how difficult it is, but I have to say) the movements of the supposed camera were very unnatural. The artwork is great, but when taking on a great task like interpreting the War of the Worlds, direction and cinematography are essential. Please continue to animate and please do these works justice.
Do - It - Justice

Gerkinman responds:

i hope to do it justice, alot of the artwork in the film will be like that, with maybe one scene per episode taken from the old vinals.

Fair Play

The graphics for this piece of work (combined with the soundtrack) were nicely done in an old fashioned sort of way. I would have liked to see staring-problem steve get into a few fights because of his not uncommon problem, but did laugh to myself when seeing the dad and his kid controlling that boat. Overall,
Fair - Play.

What a series!

This guy should have Yuen Wo Pings job- choreographing fight scenes using different locations, weapons and foes in a fantastic blood bath. I saw the fourth installment and liked it, but didn't understand why he was a butcher (and still don't) but do understand the characters past better.
Wonder - rama.
